‘People Story Dashboard’ launched in Humber and North Yorkshire

NHS Humber and North Yorkshire Integrated Care Board (ICB) has launched an innovative new tool, designed to bridge the gap between population health, demand for services and the workforce needed to deliver care.

The People Story Dashboard has been developed through the ICB’s Workforce Breakthrough programme and could revolutionise strategic planning, commissioning, and support for the three shifts outlined in the Government’s 10 Year Plan for the NHS, including prevention.

Jason Stamp, the ICB’s Acting Chair and Senior Responsible Officer for Workforce in the Humber and North Yorkshire Health and Care Partnership, said: “The People Story Dashboard brings together various elements and factors of health into an easy-to-use digital platform, drawing in the very latest data.

“It provides invaluable insights into population and workforce data at place and neighbourhood levels, aiding in strategic planning and pathway redesign.”

The dashboard is available to everyone in the Humber and North Yorkshire Integrated Care System, including ICB staff, NHS providers, Community Interest Companies, Primary Care, Social Care, Voluntary Community Social Enterprise, and the Mayoral Local Combined Authorities.

The dashboard can be accessed, here.

Simon Nearney, Group Chief People Officer at Humber Health Partnership and Senior Responsible Officer for the People Story Breakthrough Committee, added: “Through the committee, we have worked with providers to develop this tool for strategic planning.

“The dashboard helps providers understand patient demand in their localities and map this to workforce needs. The next step is to use the data to forecast future demand which means we can plan what resources are needed in almost real time.”

The team behind the dashboard says it is committed to further developing the tool and integrating it with the Population Health Dashboard to enhance insights and forecasting capabilities.
