Developing compassionate, inclusive leaders across health and care

Leadership and talent

Evidence shows that the quality of care and organisational performance are directly affected by the quality of leadership and the improvement cultures leaders create.

We are committed to developing colleagues working across health and care to be inclusive, compassionate leaders to drive safe, high quality care for the local communities we serve.

This page provides information, videos and wider resources to support the development of colleagues working in health and care across Humber and North Yorkshire.

The Coaching Network

Coaching has huge benefits – 80% of people who have been coached report increased self-confidence and over 70% said they beneffited from improved work performance, relationships and more effective communication skills.

Coaching is free, confidential and is available for colleagues working across health and care in Humber and North and West Yorkshire.

The three most common areas colleagues seek to work with a coach to explore are:

  • career development
  • leadership
  • communication

A group of people sit together in a circle listening to someone explain how coaching works.

Find a coach

The Coaching Network is a hub to bring coaches and those looking for coaching (coachees) together from across health and care in Humber, North and West Yorkshire.

It replaces older systems and is designed to make accessing coaching simpler; allowing us to build our own diverse coaching community.

You can sign-up to the coaching network to browse our coaches and find the coach who feels right for you.

Existing coaches – please sign-up

If you are a qualified coach or a coach-in-training, please register on our new coaching network platform.

Signing-up to the coaching network as a coach or a coach-in-training will give you access to ongoing development, support and supervision as a member of our coaching community. It’s quick and easy to do – simply visit the platform and complete your personal profile.

To support you as a coach we have a number of masterclasses available which you can book on our booking website – BookWhen.

You can also browse our large selection of resources, tools, recordings of previous masterclasses, handbooks and useful templates in our coaching repository in conjunction with West Yorkshire Health and Care Partnership.

  • a common induction for colleagues new to our system
  • the creation and delivery of a career progression curriculum
  • working with wider systems across the North East and Yorkshire region to explore succession planning for senior talent
