The Voluntary Community and Social Enterprise (VCSE) Collaborative is one of five collaboratives in the Humber and North Yorkshire Health and Care Partnership. As well as a board of Place Leads from VCSE sector infrastructure organisations across Humber and North Yorkshire and NHS representatives, the VCSE Collaborative has a dedicated staff team working across the partnership.

Gary Sainty – Head of VCSE

The Head of VCSE role oversees the work of the VCSE Collaborative and represents the VCSE sector at a strategic level across the partnership. Gary is instrumental in delivering the aim of the VCSE Collaborative which is to enable the potential and impact of the VCSE sector to be realised by cementing the sector’s role as a key strategic partner in the planning, design and delivery of health and care across Humber and North Yorkshire.

Penny Butcher – VCSE Programme Manager

The VCSE Programme Manager Role is central to implementing the emerging VCSE Strategic Plan particularly at a place level; connecting with the wider VCSE sector. Penny engages with the VCSE sector and the wider health and care system to increase the VCSE Collaborative’s connectivity to local organisations and networks in order to strategically embed the VCSE sector into our Integrated Care System.

Drew Richardson – Strategic Volunteer Lead

The Strategic Volunteer Lead role has been created to develop a strategic approach to involving volunteers across our health and care system. Drew is the newest member of the team and will engage with colleagues across the system to explore ways to effectively recruit, retain and deploy volunteers; identifying good practice and scaling across the system.

Beckie Deamer-Brooke – VCSE Business Support Officer

Beckie provides senior administration and project management support to the team and is the key point of contact for the VCSE Collaborative. Beckie is also instrumental in supporting the team to manage and deliver the collaborative’s programmes of work.

Anna Boad – VCSE Communications Lead

Anna supports the work of the VCSE Collaborative by connecting the VCSE sector with the partnership’s activities through the VCSE Collaborative’s webpage, blog posts, webinars and e-bulletin. Anna works closely with a team of communications leads across each place to showcase the sector’s work.
