Covid-19 testing: People aged 5 and over now eligible

Everyone over the age of five is now able to be tested for Covid-19 if they have symptoms, after the Government announced plans to extend testing eligibility on Monday (18th May 2020).

Symptoms of Covid-19 are: a high temperature, a new continuous cough, or a loss or change to your sense of smell or taste.

This means that the following people are now eligible for testing:

  • Health and care staff and other essential workers (with symptoms)
  • Anyone who needs to leave home to work (with symptoms)
  • Care home staff and care home residents (with or without symptoms)
  • Anyone aged five and over (with symptoms)

Testing at these sites is by appointment only. Appointments can be booked through the online referral portal (either directly or through your employer).

Mobile Testing Units are being deployed in different areas across Humber, Coast and Vale. Tests are available by appointment only and can be booked through the online referral portal (either directly or through your employer). Please see links below for up-to-date information about where Mobile Testing Units are currently operating in Humber, Coast and Vale.
