What a year 2020 has been!

The Covid-19 pandemic has been brutal with huge suffering to many and a challenging and testing time for our region, staff and patients. Nevertheless, the Humber, Coast and Vale Digital Programme has managed to lead the way with a number of exciting innovations, products and services for our patients.

To celebrate the amazing work of our incredible teams, we are hosting a number of online webinars during November and December, with the aim of sharing these success stories and providing an insight into how they benefit our patients.

Below is a breakdown of the sessions, along with dates, times and how to attend. The sessions are open to all staff and worth an hour of your time to celebrate our success and gain an insight into the future of digital across our region.

Humber Coast and Vale Digital Review (Thursday, 26th November, 1pm to 2pm)

The session will be led by John Skidmore, Digital Lead for the Humber, Coast and Vale Health and Care Partnership, with colleagues from the HCV Digital programmes and the Yorkshire and Humber Academic Health Science Network. We will be discussing the progress we have made in organising our digital programmes, leadership, current and future digital strategies, our investment plans and how our regional citizens are benefiting from our work.

Digital Inclusion Webinar (Thursday 3rd December, 1pm to 2pm)

This session will be led by Brian Edmondson, Chair of the Humber, Coast and Vale Digital Inclusion Working Group. We will be discussing the progress made on digital inclusion within our region, giving an insight into the work with shared records and ensuring that no-one is left behind with our digital programmes.

Digital End of Life (Thursday, 10th December, 1pm to 2pm)

This session will be led by Dr Avinash Pillai and Tara Athanasiou from Idealts, discussing the Digital End of Life programme. Including what the end of life programme is, why the need for it, the before and after story, project challenges and how these were overcome, benefits and what’s next.

Digital Care Homes & Wrap Up, Thurs 17th Dec – 1-2pm

This session is led by Eddie Niblett, ICT Strategic Business Solutions Manager. The webinar will showcase the recent work with care homes to improve connectivity to the internet to support resident video calls with family members and healthcare professionals. It will also explore  how a care home in Hull is using virtual reality to support residents with the move to care homes and residents using wireless devices such as Alexa. Followed by a review of the webinars and what to expect in 2021.
